Project: Talash – Privacy‑First Platform to Find Missing Children
Project type: Social Impact, SafetyTech, IoT, Product Design & Web Engineering
Status: Public beta (2025)
Website: talash.ai
Social Media: Facebook
Talash is a privacy-first initiative that helps families, communities, and authorities act fast when a child goes missing. The platform combines an encrypted guardian-controlled child profile, a Lost & Found Feed, an AI-powered face scanner, and innovative IoT devices like the Emergency Child Safety Wristband and Talash Clothing Tags (both NFC and QR-enabled) to aid in rescue. ZMC Technologies is also supporting the development of the Talash Smartwatch for real-time location tracking, SOS support, and parental controls.
We at ZMC Technologies provided full digital and technical support, including website design, UI/UX, IoT integration, and ongoing product development.

The Challenge
Families need a fast, trusted way to mobilize when a child goes missing.
The solution must ensure privacy-by-design and secure data handling.
Building a reliable IoT ecosystem that works seamlessly with the platform and devices.
Providing an easy-to-use experience for guardians, moderators, and volunteers.
Objectives We Set
Speed to action: Reduce the time from “child missing” to a broadcastable, high‑fidelity alert.
Privacy & safety: Encrypt biometric and sensitive data; never disclose publicly; share only when a case is active and with the proper authorities.
Community reach: Build a public feed that increases the surface area for sightings while preventing misuse.
Operational readiness: Give moderators tools to vet, escalate, and close cases, and lay the groundwork for mobile rollout.
What We Delivered
Web & Platform: Developed talash.ai with Lost & Found feed, guardian registration, and AI face matching.
IoT integration: Supported Emergency Wristband, Clothing Tags, and upcoming Smartwatch features.
UI/UX: Designed accessible, guardian-friendly interfaces.
Ongoing support: Continuous development and maintenance for products and services.
Privacy By Design
Data minimization: only essential fields collected.
Encryption: facial images and sensitive data remain encrypted and shared only with authorities.
Guardian control: guardians can delete data after closure.
Moderation: tools and checks reduce false reports.

Impact So Far
